With a myriad of toys, from snorkel gear and water floats, to paddle boards and beach toys, Starlight is as much the destination as a means to get there.

Focused on charters originating in St. John and Eastern St Thomas, Starlight tailor each of ours Caribbean day charters and sailing vacations to make sure guests get their fill of off-the-grid and in-the-mix spots. On day charters, we often go for a day of recreation, swimming and sailing at one of St. John’s wonderful secluded harbors. On sailing vacations, we cover the very best of the Virgin Islands from Anegada to St. Thomas, Culebra and all the islands in between. We love taking guests to secluded spots and hidden gems, fun beach bars and hot spots, stunning beaches and snorkeling spots, great boutiques, scenic hikes and gorgeous spots to relax and enjoy the water. We tailor our sailing experiences to make sure guests get the type of excursion they want. We are flexible in planning itineraries.

St. John and St. Thomas Origination

For Virgin Island day charters and sailing vacations, we originate most charters out of Cruz Bay, St. John or Eastern St. Thomas (Red Hook). We are happy to charter out of other ports as well.

Starting East allows us to experience the best of the Virgin Islands, starting our sail in the lovely Pillsbury Sound and being able to reach the best spots.

Activities

Each island has a myriad to do on the water and inshore including beaches, snorkeling, hiking and water sports. We work with guests and are flexible in creating an itinerary that suits our guests’ desired activities. Starlight comes equipped with a variety of water toys. We have a tender that can tow a tube, two paddle boards, a full assortment of snorkel gear and floats. The yacht has a large swim platform on the back with a hot and cold shower, as well. NEW IN 2017, Starlight has a wonderful little “Laser” sailboat. This performance sailboat is mounted to Starlight and great for 1-2 guests.

DINING

On day charters, we have a myriad of packages on drinks, hors d’oeuvres and lunches, from house made to on land catering. Additionally, guests are welcome to bring whatever they’d like for food and drink.

For sailing vacations, there are a couple of ways to go. On Captain-Only Charters, we have breakfasts and lunches aboard with guests dining ashore for dinner. Fully-Crewed all-inclusive charters offered on week long or longer charters include all meals aboard and snacks prepared by one of or professional yacht chefs, as well as the yacht’s bar. We are always happy to assist in making recommendations and arrangements for meal onshore. We are are able to accommodate all types of food restrictions and diets. Vegan,Vegetarian and Keto diets are regular aboard Starlight.

Fees

Customs fees, mooring fees and park permits vary per island and are disclosed before booking. Normal mooring fees, water and fuel are includedOn shore activities, meals and transportation are at the guests’ expense. A 20% service fee is added on all directly booked yacht charters in lieu of gratuity (Broker booked charters do not include the standard 20% gratuity).

Sag Harbor | Shelter Island | Hamptons

Starlight is available for Private Day Charters and Sailing Excursions from Sag Harbor, New York.

Hamptons Sails from Three-Hours to Full-Day.

Sailing from Sag Harbor, Starlight provides exceptional day sails that enjoy the beautiful scenery of Shelter Island Sound, Gardiner’s Bay and the Peconic Bay. Starlight sails between the stunning North Fork wine country and the Hamptons on the east end of Long Island.

Starlight has serving ware, cutlery and everything we need to host aboard. Water and ice are provided, and we are happy to recommend catering options and many guests like to bring a cooler with lunch or snacks. Starlight also features a bluetooth sound system for your playlist.

Onboard, there are paddle boards and swim floats aboard for a swim stop and a tender for guests who wish to venture ashore. There are great swimming spots off Mashomack Preserve in Shelter Island, Smith Cove, the Peconic Bay, and in Gardiner’s Bay. All of these are within reach during most charters. During longer charters, we often venture further toward the North Fork or Sunset Beach.

Starlight also can provide service to and/or from Sunset Beach in Shelter Island. We work with several wonderful Hamptons transportation companies to provide travel to and from Starlight for your group.

SAG HARBOR

Travel

Sag Harbor is a short two-and-a-half-hour trip from New York City by bus, train or car, or a short flight from Manhattan. Once in Sag Harbor, Starlight sits right in the harbor mooring field. For your charter, arrangements will either be made with the local water-taxi service or to come in and pick you up at one of the town’s dock facilities.

The Hampton Jitney has direct service to Sag Harbor

Long Island Railroad runs to Bridghampton, which is about five-miles away by Taxi. Hometown Taxi and other taxi services serving Sag Harbor can be found on Yahoo Local.

Sound Aircraft runs many Seaplane services to the Hamptons and Sag Harbor.

The Sag Harbor Launch provides service to Starlight in the mooring field.

Islands

The east end of Long Island offers plenty of sailing in Gardiners Bay, the Peconic Bay and Shelter Island Sound. Anchoring at lovely swimming spots off Shelter Island, East Hampton and the North Fork, as well as delicious Lunch destinations including Sunset Beach on Shelter Island and the restaurants of East Hampton’s Three-Mile Harbor are well within reach on your charter.

Activities

Every destination or spot at anchor offers plenty to do. A Sail to North Fork wine country or Sunset Beach is always on the list. Starlight comes equipped with a variety of water toys. On board, Starlight has two paddle boards and a full assortment of water toys. The yacht has a large swim platform on the back with a hot and cold shower, as well. Don’t forget your music as Starlight has a bluetooth integrated sound system.

DINING

Our overnight charters include meals aboard and snacks, as well as a limited yacht’s bar. We also are happy to assist in making arrangements for meals onshore.

On Day Charters, we provide water and ice. We can provide a wonderful array of catering options and guests are invited to bring whatever food they’d like. A cooler is perfectly appropriate. We can also sail to a wonderful winery or Sunset Beach for lunch.

Fees

A 20% Service Charge is added to all day charters and overnight Hamptons charters. Launch service to and from Starlight in Sag Harbor is included in your charter rate. For Sunset Beach Luncheons, drop-off and pickups, the Shelter Island Launch charges $10 per person each way.
